Family!

Here is the QR code that can be used to pay your registration fees for the reunion. They can also be mail by check or money order. See the form under “Newsletters & Documents”.

Zelle is a bank to bank electronic transfer system. Typically your bank has to participate with Zelle in order to use this option. Please read through these instructions in its entirety to determine which method works best for you.

The best way to use the QR code would be to go to www.robinsonconnection.com on the computer and scan it from the QR code scanner on your phone. Once the code is scanned it will automatically load to a Zelle site that will require you to locate your bank that supports Zelle — for example, if you bank with Chase Bank, type in “Chase Bank” and it will then require you to log into your Chase account. Once you do that it will automatically populate the receiver, Pratt Robinson and it will ask you if this is who you are sending money to. From here confirm and proceed to follow the prompts and complete the necessary fields then send.

For those that do not know how to use the QR code: There is a button at the top of the website that says, “pay registration fees”. Click on it and it will take you to the Zelle site to locate your bank that participates with Zelle. You may be required to enroll if you have never done so, log into your bank account and proceed to follow the prompts for submitting the funds.

For those who are banking with an institution that does not participate with Zelle:

You can download the Zelle app on your phone. You will be prompted to sign up and it will ask, ‘don’t see your bank?’ If you click on this it will have you enter in your debit card information and I presume it will proceed to set you up to being able to still send funds. I wasn’t not able to make it past the point of entering my debit card as I am already enrolled with Zelle through my bank and it located my account and directed me to continue there.

You may also just log into your bank that has Zelle. Click on the ‘Send money by Zelle’ option and enter in the phone number for Pratt Robinson, fill in the required fields and submit.

Payments are also being accepted by check or money order. See the registration form located under Newsletter & Documents for further details.

With costs all around being higher in recent years and traveling can be a costly task, the reunion committee would like to present the option of a bundled package to minimize the family reunion expenses by sharing the cost of lodging, vehicle rental, and sharing good airfares with other family members. For example: Each room has 2 beds and a sofa bed.  Cost per night - $198.00 a night including tax.  If 3 family members were willing to share a room.  The Cost would be $66.00 a day per person.

Transportation

In an effort to make commuting more convenient for the reunion weekend, the reunion committee is considering the rental of shuttle vans/buses to transport everyone, particularly on Saturday when we will be traveling from Birmingham to Jemison for a ceremony and from there to Marion to have our reunion picnic, then back to Birmingham. Those interested in the shuttle vs. driving on your own or renting a car, please advise so we can have a headcount of the size and number of vans needed.

Reminder: This service is covered in the reunion dues/registration fees.

DIETARY ACCOMMODATIONS

Anyone with food allergies and/or dietary needs as it relates to religion or lifestyle please advise so we can have food available to you. No one should have to worry about seeking food elsewhere when we can simply consider your needs.

Albert & Virginia Robinson

Message from a descendant:

“Hello Family! I am Melissa Bennett, a fellow descendant of John, Albert & Virginia Robinson, granddaughter to Mary Dean Wilson, and great granddaughter to Alberta Robinson Singletary-Smith. This year I joined the committee of planning the Robinson Reunion with hopes of learning my family’s history and getting better acquainted with members of the family. With the upcoming reunion, myself and the other committee members - Donna Bennett, Earl Robinson, Torri Major, Jackie Robinson, Pratt Robinson Jr., Brian Smith, Stephanie Ekunwe, Steve Brown, Sharon Cusmano, Raf Robinson, and Patrice Robinson would love to see as many familiar and new faces present for an amazing experience. Please consider this a personal and humble invitation to join the family for a weekend of fun, food, activities, love, and community.”
